A query is filtered by three constraints of increasing granularity:
The data source, which can be an AccuMap database, an AccuMap Open Layer file, or a Shapefile. Only one data source can be queried at a time.
The region area, which contains the list, annotation, map extents, region file, or custom layer that contains the item the query should use. Only items found within the area constraint defined here are considered candidates for the query. Multiple regions can be queried at once.
The data group-data field combination, which is the parent and child combination within which to search after the above query area constraint is applied. An example of a parent-child combination is the data group (parent) Well License followed by the data field (child) Well Type. Multiple data groups and fields can be queried at once.
The controls that appear in the Criteria Selection pane to the right depend on the data field selected above. With the data field specified, type the specific values for which to search. For example, continuing with the above example, specify a Well Type of Dir/Dev (directional/deviated), Horizontal, or Vertical.
