Best fitting your decline curve

To best fit your decline curve:

  1. Click the Select Data Points button in the Analysis pane, and draw a box around your data points.
  2. A decline curve is displayed in both plots, which represents the best fit based on your point selection. Note that no data points are selected in the Rate vs. Cumulative plot.
  3. To select discontinuous points, press the Ctrl-key; to deselect points, press the Shfit-key.
  4. Zoom in with your scroll wheel, or scale the axes manually by clicking-and-dragging the scroll bars.
  5. Click the Manipulate Decline button in the Analysis pane.
  6. Reposition and rotate your decline curve to match the curve to your data, as needed.
  7. Alternatively, you can click the decline curve and manipulate your decline without clicking the buttons in the Analysis pane.
