Analysis Line

An analysis line is a straight line used for the interpretation of well performance data. The results from straight-line analysis methods include, but are not limited to, bulk flow performance parameters (e.g. flow capacity from a specialized plot), reserves (e.g., exponential decline in a decline curve analysis), and reservoir volume (e.g., OGIP from a flowing material balance).

With decline analysis methods, the analysis line may be displayed as a curve (also known as a decline curve).
