RDS for SQL server
Amazon’s Relational Database Service (RDS) for SQL server is a scalable, flexible Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) platform. An administrator can deploy in minutes cost-efficient and re-sizable compute capacity for multiple editions of SQL server (2012, 2014, 2016, and 2017) including Express, Web, Standard, and Enterprise.
Amazon RDS offers services which include provisioning, backups, software patching, monitoring, and hardware scaling. The service supports the “License Included” licensing model. Pricing is a combination of per-hour instance fees, plus high-speed database storage and backup fees.
