Link / unlink analyses
By linking analyses you can combine multiple analyses in order to enforce consistency or generate calculated results. For example, you can link a Ratio Trend with a Decline analysis to calculate a rate forecast. Only Harmony Forecast analysis types can be linked, but the analyses must be of different types. When analyses are linked, they are displayed in the Analysis Manager under a single analysis name.
When analyses are linked, some analysis types permanently overwrite the results obtained by the other analysis. A summary of the order of precedence is listed below:
| Parameter | Order of analysis type precedence |
|---|---|
| Original Oil in Place (OOIP) / Original Gas in Place (OGIP) |
1. Material Balance 2. Volumetrics |
| EUR (Expected Ultimate Recovery) |
1. Decline 2. Water-Oil Ratio 3. Material Balance 4. Volumetrics |
Unlinking analyses does not restore the results of that analysis. For example, unlinking a Volumetrics analysis from a Material Balance analysis does not revert the OGIP of the Volumetrics analysis.
