Import from Harmony

To import from Harmony:

1. Click the Import menu and select .Harmony file.
Or, you can click the Import icon (Import Harmony Data icon) and select .Harmony file.

2. Browse to your .harmony file and click OK.

Your Harmony project can now be used in Harmony Enterprise.

3. Review your merge options in the Confirm Import Merge Options dialog box. To change your settings, click the Options icon (), which opens the Options dialog box. To proceed without make changes, click OK.

Note:   We do not use the Updating Data | Analysis Data settings in the Options dialog box. Instead, when you import from a .harmony file, if an analysis or worksheet already exists, it is not imported.

List of items imported and not imported

When you import a .harmony file, be aware of the items that are imported and not imported:

Imported Not imported
- Entity hierarchy structure - Custom group tabs
- Custom groups - Surveillance groups
- Attributes (including custom attributes) - GIS layers (shape, image, bubble, annotations, flags)
- Properties - Comparison plots
- Physical wellbore - Layers from multilayered wells
- Scenario wellbores (optionally imported as additional configurations for a physical wellbore) - User-specific data (options, templates, workflows)
- Production (including custom datasets)
- Static pressures
- Reference dates
- Analyses and worksheets (excluding the analyses to the right) Analyses and worksheets:
- Voidage Replacement Ratio analyses
- CBM analyses
- Analytical models: water drive and multilayer

Note:   When importing .harmony files, we support Harmony 2014.1 and later.

Information on items that are imported to different locations

As a general rule, any data and analysis types that do not exist in Harmony Enterprise are not imported from a .harmony file. However, there are some special import rules for some items:

  • Legacy numerical models are converted to our current numerical model
  • Custom groups in Harmony are imported into the Shared Groups tab (Entity Viewer - Custom) in Harmony Enterprise
  • Production Editor data:

    • Run Depth Pressure is imported as Imported Sandface Pressure
    • Injection Tubing Pressure — is imported but it is displayed as Tubing Pressure in the Production editor. If both Tubing Pressure and Injection Tubing Pressure exist in the .harmony file, then only the Tubing Pressure is imported.
  • Wellbore Editor data:

    • If a well has multiple deviation surveys in the wellbore, only the first-populated survey is imported
    • If a well has multiple temperature profiles, only the last-populated profile is imported
    • If there are Scenario wellbores, they can be imported as additional configurations for the Physical wellbore. This is optional and can be set in the Options dialog box. For more information, see Scenario Wellbores. Deviations and temperature surveys are always brought in from the Physical wellbore.
  • Harmony VirtuWell analyses are converted to equivalent Optimize analyses in Harmony Enterprise.

    • For Gas IPR / TPC analyses with multiple tubing: each tubing is brought in as its own Gas IPR / TPC analysis
    • For Gas IPR / TPC analyses that have "Customize Flow Path and Tubing" selected: only the deepest tubing diameter is imported.
    • Harmony VirtuWell worksheets are not imported. Instead, all analyses of the same type are grouped together on one worksheet of the corresponding type (for example, all Oil IPR / TPC analyses are imported into one worksheet called "Imported Oil IPR / TPC").
