Vogel inflow
By using the Vogel inflow, you can estimate a well's inflow performance relationship (IPR) by entering:
- Reservoir pressure
- Test data (measured rate at a specified sandface pressure)
Note: Oil bubble point pressure is also required, and this must be entered in the Properties editor.
Liquid Composite
Optionally, you can select the Liquid Composite method. After entering the water rate (or ratio), the IPR is recalculated as three curves:
- Oil curve
- Water curve
- Total liquid (oil + water) curve
Furthermore, any TPC is converted to a horizontal line of constant sandface pressure. This sandface pressure is the same as the operating point pressure. Consequently, the operating rates for water, oil, and total liquid are displayed on the plot.
Future inflows
Optionally, you can enter up to three additional reservoir pressures. By doing so, the productivity index from the baseline IPR is used with the entered reservoir pressure to calculate a future IPR.
