There are special rules for the Well Identifier with respect to production, static pressure, or attribute text imports.
Production text imports
You can specify Entity Header attributes for well linking. These attributes are also updated in the well, regardless of whether they were used for linking.
Import rules are as follows:
- If no well identifier is specified, the Link Incoming Wells to Existing Wells dialog box is always displayed.
- If a well identifier is specified, we use a combination of the Well Identifier and whichever entity header elements are specified. The Well Identifier gets compared first, then the rest of the available attributes are compared in the order specified in the options dialog box.
Static pressure text imports
These imports only use the Well Identifier.
Attribute text imports
Entity Header attributes are not used for matching. These imports must uniquely match using the Well Identifier.
