Export decline parameters

These decline parameter formats can be exported:

  • Aries
  • Val Nav
  • PHDWin
  • MOSAIC

You can set a classification for your data in the Analysis Manager.

To export decline parameters:

Click the Export icon (Export icon) in the main toolbar and select Production Data, Forecasts, or Decline Analyses.

The export wizard opens.

In the Select File and Format dialog box, browse to the location where your file is to be saved. Click Export Decline Parameters and select your export format, and then click Next.

  • Aries — exports gas, oil, water, and condensate decline analyses. This includes decline analyses at the entity, hierarchy, or custom-group level, and includes decline and multi-segment analyses. The output format is a .txt file. When exporting to Aries, the display name used for each well is based on the data available. If Propnum is populated, it is used; otherwise, API is used. If neither of these is available, the display name is used.
  • Val Nav — only exports reserve-classified gas and oil decline analyses. This includes decline analyses at the entity and hierarchy level, and includes decline and multi-segment analyses. The output format is an .xml file.
  • PHDWin — exports gas, oil, water, and condensate decline analyses. This includes decline analyses at the entity, hierarchy, or custom-group level, and includes decline and multi-segment analyses. The output format is a .csv file.
  • MOSAIC — exports decline and multi-segment decline analyses in a MOSAIC format. This includes decline analyses at the entity, hierarchy, or custom-group level, and exports decline parameters in a generic format to a .xlsx file. Files exported using this option can be imported to MOSAIC (version 2015.5 and later).

If you try to export a linked analysis containing any invalid analysis types, it does not export.

In the Select Entities dialog box, select the entities you want to export from the three tabs: Hierarchy, Shared Groups, and Private Groups. Click Next. Note that you can search for entities by name by clicking the Search icon.

In the Select Analyses dialog box, click the checkboxes for the analyses (including consolidations) you want to export, and then click Next.

The file is saved with a message in the Status Window and the wizard closes.

When Decline curves or production data in Harmony is modified by importing, additional calculations must be done to adjust Declines, so that they honor the most up-to-date production. Harmony performs these additional calculations when you launch the well that has Decline analyses. If you import additional data and then export Decline Analyses before launching the well, the exported decline analyses may be out of date. It is recommended to launch the wells before exporting decline analyses. You can launch all the wells of interest one by one, or you can bulk-select the wells in the entity viewer and use the ‘Refresh results for Declines’ from the context menu.
