Alberta Energy Regulator

(Canada only)

The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is a regulatory body of the government. The purpose of the AER is, in part, to provide appraisal of the reserves and productive capacity of energy resources in Alberta, prevent waste of those resources, control pollution, ensure safe practices are followed, and provide useful dissemination of information. The AER requires submission of .PAS files to meet regulatory requirements for wells.

Note:    The AER was previously called the Energy Resources and Conservation Board (ERCB).
