About Working with Maps

Depending on whether you're working in AccuX DB mode or Project mode, the map extents are either based on the entire Western Canadian Basin (limited only by your AccuMap license), or the map extents you specify in either the Global Online Axxses Settings dialog box or in your AccuMap Detail Map when launching AccuX from AccuMap.

You can change numerous properties in the map to show patterns and exceptions then select wells to include in the cross section. You can also use the map to geographically display reservoir features. For example, when you generate a net oil report, areas in the map view with a high volume of oil are highlighted according to the Min Max color gradient at the bottom of the map.

You can scroll maps in both Project and DB mode using the zoom controls. In DB mode, you can also scroll maps using the UWI Lookup dialog box to place a well with a specific UWI in the center of the map, or by pressing CTRL+arrow key to move one map page at a time in that direction.

AccuX includes the left toolbar with which you perform numerous map operations, including navigating, posting, contouring, creating cross sections, and more.

Map Tooltips

You can toggle whether tooltips appear in the project map by selecting Map > Map Tooltips to display the Show Map Tooltips dialog box.
