History Matching (Analytical Model)

Note:   See the video tutorial: History Matching (requires Flash and opens in a new window) for additional information. Note that this video was produced in 2011, so some references to the user interface are slightly different.

Once the model is populated, you can history match it. If for example, the CacIP icon () is selected, Harmony uses rates to calculate pressures.

Click the Plots tab to compare calculated pressures (brown line) with actual pressures (brown dots).

The purpose of history matching is to get the calculated pressures to reproduce actual pressures as closely as possible by changing the model's parameters. You can vary model parameters manually, or use Automatic Parameter Estimation.
