Overview

Harmony Enterprise is a comprehensive engineering application for analyzing oil and gas well performance and evaluating reserves. For more information, see the Harmony Enterprise web page.

After installing Harmony Enterprise™ and launching the application, the License Type dialog box opens. In this dialog box, you select between two versions: multi-user capable and single-user capable. (This dialog box only opens the first time you select your license type.)

Full version

The multi-user version is classified as the full version. You can have up to 100,000 wells in each project. All analysis work is centralized for better access, and multiple engineers can share one common project. In addition, you can import data once, which reduces the risk of duplicating wells and analyses.

The full version of Harmony Enterprise can be deployed either locally (on-premises) or in a cloud environment.

Regardless of the license type you are using, there are some limitations when Harmony Enterprise is running on the cloud (Azure or AWS). You are not able to:

  • use standalone licenses.
  • check out commuters.
  • open nor create .hldb files on AWS. (You can open and create .hldb file on Azure.)
  • import nor export .hldb files when running Harmony Enterprise on AppStream.

SE license

The SE license is the single-user version of Harmony Enterprise, and has some restrictions.

The SE license can be used when running Harmony Enterprise either locally (on-premises) or on Azure. It cannot be used on AWS.

You can manage up to 5000 wells with a local database (.hldb) file. However, you cannot:

  • import or merge .hldb files
  • connect to a multi-user database (a full SQL database)
  • perform scheduled imports
  • have role-based security

If you try to import a file that has more than 5000 wells, or where the incoming plus existing well count exceeds 5000, wells are imported up to the limit, and then a warning message is displayed in the Status Window.
