Adjusting Porosity for Single Wells

You can select the curves to use when estimating porosity. Barring user intervention, AccuX automatically selects the following curves in the below order to estimate porosity:

DT. The most commonly digitized curve that enables you to set unique matrix parameters for multiple target zones.

RHOB (bulk density). The second most commonly digitized curve that enables you to set unique matrix parameters for multiple target zones.

NPSS / DPSS. The third most commonly digitized curve that's typically generated using a constant matrix value for the entire wellbore.

Note: You can set specific DT matrix and RHOB matrix for multiple target zones.

To adjust effective porosity parameters for single wells

1. Double-click the log or well header, not a curve or top.

The Single Well Properties: Porosity dialog box appears.

2. Select the porosity tab, change the dialog box parameters based on your preferences, and then click OK.

Note: For any values you change, select the associated Protected checkbox to prevent the values in the Global Petrophysical Settings dialog box from overwriting your changes.
