Defining Global Petrophysical Settings

You can set global petrophysical constants that apply to all wells.

Settings in the Global Petrophysical Settings dialog box are not applied to individual well parameters changed using the Single Well Properties dialog box providing the associated "protected" checkbox is selected in the Single Well Properties dialog box.

To define global petrophysical settings

1. From the Global menu select Global petrophysical settings and constants
OR

From the View menu, select Toolbars > Petrophysical.

The Global Petrophysical Settings dialog box appears.

2. Adjust the constants and cutoffs of rocks based on the  and then click Apply.

Notes:

Settings in the Global Petrophysical Settings dialog box overwrite specific well settings in the Single Well Properties dialog box unless the protected checkbox associated with that setting is selected.

If you defined a target zone, when AccuX calculates the petrophysical properties such as sonic porosity, density porosity, Vsh, Phi, and Sw some global petrophysical settings are ignored and specific constants set for the target are used for calculations instead. For information about defining target zones, click Defining Target Zones.
