Creating Cross Sections from LAS Files

When working in AccuX Project mode, you can load cross sections saved in .las format from a local source. This process is good for loading multiple wells. To load only a single well from a .las file, see Related Topics below.

To create cross sections from LAS files

1. From the Cross Sec menu, select Build new cross section > from local LAS.

The Open dialog box appears.

2. Browse to and select the .las file, and then click Open.

The Log Import Filter dialog box appears.

3. Select the curves to include and, if required, the Begin Depth and End Depth values then click Continue.

4. When the cross section data is loaded, the Open dialog box appears for the next well. You can browse to another .las file or click Cancel to close the dialog box.

If you have multiple .las files for a single well, right-click the log and from the shortcut menu, select add curves from LAS.

5. Set cross section display properties as required.
