Creating Project Areas from AccuMap

Using AccuMap, you create a Detail Map and export some of the data from it to AccuX. Aside from all the wells that appear in the Detail Map, the following grids and culture are exported to AccuX:

Grids DLS1 and DLS3. AccuMap doesn't export the NTS grid, but you can display a theoretical NTS grid for AccuMap Detail Maps exported to AccuX by selecting Map > Map Features in AccuX.

Culture Cities, Provincial boundaries, Rivers and Lakes, and Roads.

To change the volume of data you export to AccuX, resize the AccuMap Detail Map window.

When launched from AccuMap, AccuX polls the Global Online Axxses Server to determine what logs are available for each well in your Detail Map. This information appears in the mini well card in the AccuX project map when you hover your cursor over a well.

To create project areas from AccuMap

1. Create a Detail Map in AccuMap that encompasses the area you want to export to AccuX.

2. From the Detail Map menu, select Launch AccuX.

The Axxses Connection Info dialog box appears.

3. Type your subscription information and then click OK.

AccuX polls the IHS Energy Information Hub to determine what data sets are available for each exported well based on the criteria you specified above.

A map based on the original AccuMap Detail Map appears in the left pane.

4. From the File menu, select Save and save your project to a local or network drive.
