You can launch AccuX from either a Detail Map you create in AccuMap or by double-clicking the AccuX icon on your PC desktop.
If launched from your desktop, you can specify whether AccuX runs in AccuX DB mode or Project mode.
If launched from AccuMap, AccuX runs in project mode using the map extents defined in your Detail Map. To change the amount of data transferred from the AccuMap Detail Map to AccuX, resize the AccuMap Detail Map window.
The first time you launch AccuX after installing it, double-click the AccuX icon on your PC desktop and then close AccuX before launching it from AccuMap so that AccuMap knows where AccuX is located.
To launch AccuX from your PC

1. Double-click AccuX () on your PC desktop.
2. Select either Run Linked to AccuX DB Mode to work with the entire Western Canadian Basin, or Run Project Mode to work with a smaller map area.
To run AccuX DB mode, AccuX requires you specify a working folder in which it can write files. For details see Related Topics below.

To launch AccuX from AccuMap1. Using AccuMap, create a Detail Map that encompasses the area with which you want to work.
2. From the Detail Map menu, select Launch AccuX.
