Locally Creating Sonic Porosity Curves

You can create a sonic porosity curve for a single well.

 To locally create sonic porosity curves

1. In the cross section, double-click the sonic interval transit time curve from which to generate a sonic porosity curve (typically DT).

The Single Curve Managing dialog box appears.

2. Click one of the following:

Sandstone SPSS

Limestone SPLS

 Dolomite SPDL

The Porosity Log Generation dialog box appears.

3. Accept the defaults
OR

Using the Average Characteristics of Rock Types table, type the matrix and fluid parameters.

4. Click OK.

Note: If your source curve units are USEC/F or US/F, type 55 in the matrix box and 189 in the fluid box (for SPSS).
