Moving Formation Tops by Depth

You can manually move a top using the mouse or keyboard.

When working in AccuX DB mode, whether a top is a system top (vendor supplied), a user top (a modified system top), or a generic top (specific to the current project only) is signified by an <S>, <U>, or <G> beside the top name in the cross section view. Any system top you move automatically becomes a user top and is written to the AccuMap user tops database.

All tops in Project mode are considered generic and are saved only with the current AccuX project.

To move formation tops using the mouse

1. Click and hold the top to move.

2. Move your mouse up and down to ensure you've selected a top and not a curve.

3. Drag the curve to the desired depth, monitoring the Depth and Subsea in the right side of the status bar.

To move formation tops using the keyboard

2. Press and hold the up or down arrow key to move the top, monitoring the top depth in the left side of the status bar.

3. Click another area of the cross section to deselect the top.
