Recalibrating Curves

You may need to recalibrate a digital curve for the following scenarios:

When you create "on-the-fly digits" from Canadian rasterized sonic logs (DT) using the AccuX Raster to Digits engine (R2D), a left scale of 500 usec/m and right scale of 100 usec/m is applied to the entire log. However, a whole log or a portion for a production zone may be recorded using a left scale of 300 and a right scale of 100.

For GR, DT, RHOB, and some other curves with linear wrapped scales, the R2D engine maintains scale changes like main scale > backup scale or backup scale > main scale. Because computer-based technology has limitations, some misinterpretations can be detected.

To recalibrate curves

1. Hover your cursor over the curve until the tooltip appears.

2. Double-click the curve.

The Single Curve Managing dialog box appears.

3. Click recalibrate values now.

The Recalibrate Curve dialog box appears.

4. Type the scale and in the apply to drop-down box, select either Apply to all curve to change the scale for the entire curve or select Apply to interval only and then click OK.

If you select Apply to interval only, type the range to change in the start from and stop to boxes.
