To rename formation topsIf working in Project mode, you can rename tops to apply stratigraphic equivalence to all tops in a project based on terminology common in your area. Because all tops in project mode are generic, changed tops aren't written to the AccuMap user tops database.
You can't rename tops when working in AccuX DB mode.
To rename formation tops
1. From the Stratigraphy menu, select Stratigraphy manager.
The Global Stratigraphic Settings and
Properties
dialog box appears.
2. In the Global Stratigraphic Settings and Properties dialog box, click rename.
The Rename Top
dialog box appears.
3. In the new abbreviation box, type or select an abbreviation for the top, and then click OK.
