Volumetrics Analysis

The volumetrics analysis is used to estimate the original hydrocarbon fluid volume in a reservoir. The analysis requires knowledge of reservoir rock properties, as well as fluid saturations and properties. A volumetric analysis can be conducted at any point in the production history, but is most often used early in the life of the reservoir. To change default settings, see Volumetrics Options.

Note:    The volumetrics analysis is available with an IHS DeclinePlus or IHS CBM license. (An IHS CBM license only permits you to create a CBM volumetrics analysis.)
