Menus

Harmony Enterprise has the following menus.

File

Close Data Source Connection — closes your data source connection, but keeps the Harmony Enterprise window open.

Exit — closes Harmony Enterprise.

Import

Database Connectionimports well data from a database.

Enerdeq / IHDC — imports / updates your Harmony Enterprise project with data from Enerdeq or IHDC. For more information, see import from Enerdeq.

PowerTools — opens the PowerTools File import dialog box where you browse to your PowerTools file and historical Enerdeq data (optional).

.hldb file — imports data from a local database (by default, a local database is created when Harmony Enterprise is installed) extracted from Harmony Enterprise. For more information, see importing from Harmony Enterprise. (You can import a single file, or you can bulk import multiple files in the Browse dialog box.) Note that this functionality does not apply to SE licenses.

Piper Forecasts — opens the Well Selection and Piper Forecast Import dialog box where you can update your selected wells, or update all wells, with your Piper forecasts (.fdb files). Note that your existing analyses are never overwritten.

WellTest — opens the Import dialog box where you browse to your WellTest file.

Kingdom XML —— opens the Import dialog box to select your Kingdom XML file. This provides well properties mapped from a Kingdom project.

Export

Production Data, Forecasts, or Decline Analyses — opens an export wizard where you select your production data, forecasts, or decline analyses.

To .hldb file — browse to the location for your .hldb file. you can export a portion of the data from an existing Harmony Enterprise project to create a new project. This function can be used for breaking a master project into smaller files (which you can merge at a later date), or for sending a portion of the data in your project to technical support. The following data is available for extracting: entities and their attributes, custom attributes, production, custom datasets, worksheets, analyses, reference dates, wellbore data, wellbore configurations (if none exist), and numerical models.

To Piper — opens the Piper Export wizard, which guides you through exporting entities, and entity-and-analysis pairs for use in Piper®.

To WellTest — browse to the location where you want to save your .hmexp file. For more information, see export to WellTest.

To Analytics Explorer — opens the Analytics connector. If you do not have Spotfire installed, an error message pops up. For more information, see Analytics Explorer.

Map

Last Opened Session — opens the map you last used.

Open Saved Map — browse to your saved Spatial Explorer map.

New Map — opens a new Spatial Explorer map.

View

Toolbars and Docking Windows — select the toolbars and docking windows you want to display.

Toggle Units — switches between metric and field (imperial) units.

Tools

Import Templates / Workflows — imports an .hrmtemplate file. After browsing to your file, you select from the following options:

  • Discard existing — deletes your existing templates / workflows.
  • Keep existing, and discard imported duplicates — keeps your existing templates / workflows, and when there are duplicate templates / workflows being imported, they are not imported.
  • Keep existing, and append imported duplicates — keeps your existing templates / workflows, and when duplicates exist, additional templates / workflows are created (for example, <filename>1, <filename>2, and so on).
  • Keep existing, and overwrite existing duplicates — keeps your existing templates / workflows, and overwrites existing templates / workflows when duplicate templates / workflows are imported.

Export Templates / Workflows — exports an..hrmtemplate file of your templates and workflows.

Tip:   Templates and workflows are user-specific. Therefore, any templates or workflows you create are not seen by other users in a multi-user environment.

Options — opens the Options dialog box.

Help

Web Help — opens the Harmony Enterprise help system. Note that an Internet connection is required.

Release Notes — opens the Release Notes topic.

Licensing(only visible after you connect to a data source) opens the Licensing dialog box where you can request and release licenses.

Error Report Directory — (only visible after you connect to a data source) opens File Explorer and the location where log files are saved.

Note:   The Licensing and Error Report Directory menu options are viewable after you open a Harmony Enterprise project or file (that is, these menu options are not viewable from the startup screen).

Customer Support — opens the Customer Care web page.

Getting Started Videos — opens the Learning Center for Harmony Enterprise.

Tips and Tricks — opens the Learning Center for engineering software.

Technical Resources — opens the Energy Resources web page, where you can view technical videos, published papers, and unconventional energy maps.

Engineering Webcasts — opens the Engineering web page, where you can register to view helpful videos.

Product Alerts Opt-In — opens the IHS Markit Energy Event Opt-In web page, where you can select the products you want to get alerts for.

Training — opens the Harmony Enterprise Training page.

Reset Docking Panes(only visible from the startup screen) closes Harmony Enterprise and resets your docking panes to the original settings.

Defrag HLDB(only visible from the startup screen) opens a dialog box where you select an .hldb file for compacting (to reduce the file size), and defragging (to improve the file's performance).
