Map Contours

With this feature...

Do this...

max min color Z

With USER MIN MAX selected in the color method list, type the maximum and minimum Z-values that will be represented by the colors in the color spectrum on the left. To change the color associated with a max or min value, double-click the color and select the desired color from the popup color palette.

thin thick contour step

Type the Z-value increments at which thin and thick contour steps appear.

Flip

Click to transpose the min and max colors.

stock palette

Select from pre-defined color palettes. The colors in these palettes can't be changed.

color method

Select whether the min and max colors are automatically associated with the smallest and largest Z-values on the map or with values you type.

smoothing amount

Drag to increase or reduce contour line smoothing.

color label freq., inch

Double-click to select a color in which to display contours and type the linear distance between contour labels.

show overlay contours

If show overlay contours is selected, click overlays lookup to display the Overlay Map Lookup dialog box and select the contour lines to overlay on the map.
