Procedures

A typical Harmony project flows through a sequence of procedures that may include the following:

Start a Project

1. Create or open a Harmony project.

Note:   Harmony data is stored in a file with a .harmony extension. Although Harmony provides facilities to back up this file, it is strongly recommended that you periodically back up this .harmony file.

Prepare Your Well Data

2. Import your well data.

3. Enter production data, fluid & reservoir properties, wellbore data, and static pressures as necessary.

4. Preview well data to identify the wells you want to use in your analysis.

5. Organize your wells into analyzable groups. See custom pane tasks and surveillance pane tasks for additional information.

6. View raw well data to uncover inconsistencies or operational problems.

7. Append further well data, if required.

Create Analyses

8. Perform a traditional analysis using IHS DeclinePlus.
Add an advanced analysis using IHS RTA.
For CBM wells, add an analysis using IHS CBM.
Optimize your well performance using IHS VirtuWell.

9. Create a custom workflow for re-use on future wells.

View the Results

10. View your well analysis summaries, create a report, then export your forecast for use in an economics program.
